Liam Clancy

Liam Clancy, last of the Clancy Brothers and favorite ballad singer of Bob Dylan, passes away.

Another old friend slips off the mortal coil. 

In college, I belonged to a raggedy folk band, and we stole all the Clancy Brothers songs (and half their bits).  Liam Clancy was the balladeer, and I had the pleasure of meeting him once or twice.  Liam Clancy has the details.
